You know how people say things like, “The Universe must have wanted this for me,” or “We’ll see what The Universe has in store?”
I feel compelled to tell you – the Universe cares nothing about you.
The Universe is an infinite vacuum with comparatively nothing in it. Screaming through that nothingness is an illimitable number of massive nuclear reactors in various stages of supernova obliterating everything in their paths, and sucking every iota of matter into their absolutely incinerating maws.
Spinning around these death balls is an inestimable expanse of dense rocks, countless of them the size of planets, hurling at speeds that would annihilate the Earth simply by passing near it, never mind smashing into it which, invariably, one someday will.
No, you are but a temporary speck of matter on a microscopic rock being slowly pulled into a miniscule oven spinning on the far end of a small arm of a tiny galaxy in the middle of nowhere, that itself is slowly on its way towards being eaten by yet a larger galaxy. And that will eventually happen, if the giant Black Hole at the center of our own galaxy doesn’t eat it first.
When The Universe eventually destroys every last bit that was you, and it will, it won’t even notice.
Namaste, motherfucker.
